Still Undecided About Your Career?

It’s ok to not know what type of career you’ll want after college. These assessments can help you evaluate your interests and guide you to fields you may decide to pursue.

MBTI:

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) assessment is the most widely used personality assessment in the world. With a proven record of reliability spanning more than 50 years, it offers a foundation for understanding individual differences and applying that understanding to the ways people think, communicate, and interact. Versatile and dependable, the MBTI tool sets the stage for lifelong learning and development.

The MBTI assessment is used to develop individuals, teams, and organizations to meet today’s challenges in such areas as communication, team building, leadership, and career management. Individuals and organizations, including many Fortune 500 companies, use more than 2 million assessments worldwide each year. The Form M College Edition of the instrument has 93 items and provides the basic MBTI four-letter type and interpretative guide.

Strong Interest Inventory:

The Strong Interest Inventory® (SII) is the most respected and widely used instrument for career exploration / planning in the world. Moreover, the newly revised SII is more powerful than ever as its content reflects the way we work today. That is, the many changes in the workforce, the very nature of the jobs we do, and the mirroring of the U.S. population.

At its core level, the SII is based on the idea that individuals are more satisfied and productive when they work in jobs or at tasks that they find interesting and when they work with people whose interests are similar to their own. To say it in another way, a person’s interests are compared to thousands of individuals who report being happy in their jobs and are successful in their jobs.
